2. Images of Prototype:
Gap: A better way to separate and dispose rubbishes at home into three categories of recyclable, non-recyclable, and food (an efficient domestic rubbish bin).

User needs:
  1. The bin protect environment
  2. The bin can be used ergonomically
  3. The bin is aesthetically attractive and admirable
  4. The bin saves and organize space in the kitchen
  5. The bin is safe to use
  6. The bin accommodate specific amount of rubbish
  7. The bin is user-friendly

Recent local area Council's new rule, wants the people to divide their rubbishes into three categories of recyclable, non-recyclable, and food. These bins are located outside of the house. It is awkward job to put all the rubbishes into one bag and then separate the rubbishes outside of the house into three bins.
Therefore the current rubbish necessarily close this gap. The new design help householders separate rubbishes into three categories:
  • Recyclable
  • No-recyclable
  • Food
The new product is easy to use. It consists of three bins attached to a vertical standing column. Each bin has its own lid and rubbishes can be separated easily.

3. Next steps of further refinement:

This product can be further refined and the idea for the refinement is:
  • By defining a mechanism the bins attached to the vertical column can be rotated. This rotation will save space and occupy less space. It will make the user's job efficient and easy in terms of access to the specific bin.
